Prosecute
After WWII, we had the Nuremberg Trials during which Adolph Hitler’s accomplishes were held accountable for their actions. The Nuremberg trials set an important precedent for dealing with crimes against humanity (deportation of civilians or persecution on political, religious or racial grounds). They established a standard of justice for moral monsters. The trails revealed that innocent people died due to the actions of Hitler’s accomplishes. Civilization was at stake in these trials. The International Military Tribunal indicted and found twelve defendants morally guilty; these criminals who committed crimes against humanity were sentenced to death.
Moscow Mitch, Attorney General Barr, Republican Senators and Republican Governors are accomplishes of Adolph Trump. Mitch, Barr, Republican Senators and Governors took an oath to support and protect the constitution; instead they bow to Trump. One hundred thousand or more of the 154000 people who have died of Covid-19 didn’t have to die if they had insisted on listening to the scientists instead of the misguided speeches of the president. Trump’s refusal and his ignoring of the advice of the CDC and scientist (masks and distancing) in March could have stemmed the tide of the virus and prevented all these deaths and more to come. None of the Republicans came to the defense of the people. Republican Governors are following the guidance of Trump by opening businesses and schools while the infection rate keeps increasing. They haven’t learned from the disaster of opening up the meat plants. All of the above are crimes against humanity and in their actions they violate their oath to protect the people and the constitution.
Mitch made a farce of Trump’s impeachment process by not allowing witnesses. Republican Senators could have removed Trump at impeachment; instead they allowed him to walk away after being proven guilty. Mitch won’t allow any legislation to be brought up and voted on that could strengthen our ability for a fair election (vote –by- mail). Trump doesn’t want it and the Republican Senators won’t stand up to Mitch or the president. Voting on Election Day can easily result in many people getting sick and dying from Covid-19. We have all heard the warnings from our scientists that while the pandemic continues we should not congregate in crowds. Republicans don’t care how much we suffer. To them- because we are not one of the billionaires- we are expendable.
With the aid of Attorney Barr, Trump continues to break laws by sending uninvited Militia into cities like Portland and Seattle, causing great disruption and violence. The constitution states that it is unlawful to use Militia against peaceful demonstrators. By his directives, Trump demonstrates his intent if not elected.
It is hard for me to believe that all Republican voters are blind, deniers or condoning Trump’s behavior. But they are enablers of Trump and contributing to the destruction of our democracy.
Accomplishes
Voters who are not enablers of Trump must get out the vote. We need a huge numbers of votes for Biden to prove to Trump that he has to leave the White House. Trump, Mitch, and Republican Senators and Governors are allowing Trump to break laws; nothing will change. He will probably send the militia to defend his intention to remain in office. He and Barr have already set the stage. He tells us that this national election is going to be a rigged election and therefore …who knows what???
